The White Water Meadows Citizens Association (WWMCA) is a 100% volunteer-driven organisation; therefore the work that we do will not be possible without groups of dedicated, hardworking volunteers. You can also play your part, get involved and volunteer your time. You can help by becoming a road monitor, use your IT skills, language skills or knowledge of local communities, or sit one of the committees and help with fund raising, publicity or our social policy work.
What do I get if I volunteer?

Satisfaction - Besides playing a role in helping the community to be a better place to live, you would have contributed in a meaningful way to the Associations mandate of ‘preservation, protection and enhancement of the life and welfare of the community.’

Social aspects - One of the most remarkable things about community involvement is its attraction to all different types of people. It’s not often that we have the opportunity to meet, work with, and make so many new friends. Become part of a dynamic team, see other parts of Jamaica, and make a difference.

Good experience - Voluntary work for the WWMCA gives good experience which can enhance future employment prospects.


What does the Association expect from a volunteer?

* Commitment.
* Time commitment (minimum of 1 hour per week depending on position).
This time commitment should take into account your other commitments, family, school, job etc…
* Understanding and an ability to cope with difficult situations.
* Able to work within the aims, principles and policies of the White Water Meadows Citizens Association.
* Able to establish respect and trusting relationships with residents and clients.
* Good communication skills.
